Are you a student, or know of a student? Please beware that scammers are now targeting students with a “Federal Student Tax”. There is no such thing as this. Please, please, please DO NOT give out any personal information to an IRS Impersonator demanding payment on this. The impersonators have even gone as far as threatening to report the student to the Police.
Just a reminder, the IRS will never:
- Call you to demand payment.
- Threaten to turn you into the local police to have you arrested.
