EFTPS Password Changes
New changes are coming soon to the EFTPS passwords requirements. IRS will start requiring a 13-month expiration policy. In other words, the IRS is going to require you to change your password every 13 months. You can expect this to take effect on September 19, 2019.
What does this mean for QuickBooks Users?
If you are filing and paying your taxes through QuickBooks Desktop and you have not changed your password it could reject your payment. Therefore, you must update your password before you can make the payment. Stay ahead of the game, head on over to the EFTPS and log in to update your password.
