Stimulus Payments

Stimulus payments will be sent out soon and with that being said, most are wondering how they will receive them, but first things first, there are scammers trying to get bank information and saying it is for the stimulus payments. Do NOT respond. This is not real. The IRS will NOT call you, or contact you in any way to obtain your bank account information. DO NOT give your bank information to anyone over the phone, or even face to face for this stimulus payment.

According to the IRS, the payment will be direct deposited to your bank account that the IRS has on file from your prior tax returns. If you have not had your bank account on file with the IRS before do not worry. In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online. This ensures individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
