Social Security and Stimulus Checks
When Economic Impact Payments, aka Stimulus Payment, first came about, it was stated that they would use your 2018 and 2019 tax return information to figure out if you are eligible. Originally, it stated that you needed to file a simple return to be eligible for this stimulus. Well, we have good news.
It has come to our attention that Social Security Recipients no longer need to file a simple tax return in order to receive the stimulus payment. This requirement was recently removed from the IRS information page.
