Iowa Restaurant and Bar Relief Grant Program

The Iowa Restaurant and Bar Relief Program will provide financial relief to some of the most impacted businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, restaurants and bars. Eligible businesses must show a decrease in gross sales of at least 15% during the second and third quarters of 2020, compared to second and third quarters of 2019, as shown by the Iowa Sales/Retailer’s Use Tax and Surcharge Return line 1 (gross sales amount). Businesses must have been established and open on or before April 1, 2020. The maximum grant amount is $25,000. This is not a first come, first serve program, amounts will be determined using a tiered system based on the percent of gross sales loss.

Application Period

Online applications at www.iowabusinessrecovery.com will be accepted from February 1 – February 15th.
