We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the BakerStarrett team, Lee McFee, who joins us as a dedicated Accountant.

Education & Background

Lee earned his BS (’83), MS (’85), and MBA (’88) from Iowa State University. Originally from Britt, Iowa, his deep roots and extensive academic background in the state laid a strong foundation for his long and successful career in financial services.

Professional Expertise

Lee brings over 25 years of certified public accounting expertise to our Accounting Team. Having achieved his CPA designation in 1997, his comprehensive practical experience allows him to deliver reliable financial insights and strategic solutions as an accountant for our valued clients. Over the course of his career, Lee has developed a specialized focus in car dealership accounting, bringing a deep understanding of dealership operations, inventory management, and industry-specific financial strategies to our team.

Personal Life

Lee currently resides in Grinnell with his wife, Jane. Together, they are the proud parents of three children and grandparents to four grandchildren, and they cherish the time they get to spend with their growing family.

When He’s Not Working

Deeply invested in his community, Lee actively serves in leadership and volunteer roles with his church and local non-profit organizations. When he isn’t helping clients optimize their financial operations, you can find him out on the golf course or cycling around Iowa.
